Birth of the Mini-Mono-Liths
300 clay sculptures and 1 x 6 foot sculpture made from recycled olive oil tins and papier mâché

In October 2021, I made 300 clay figures of The 3 Faced One.

The intention at the time was to spend one month soaking myself entirely in the mythology of what The Three Faced One meant for me and developing an embodied feeling of opening my head, heart and gut to receive life in a more soulful way.
They were moments of truly transformative holy silence where I envisaged the holes in my body opening as I crafted the little sculptures. It was in these moments that I realised the importance of repetition with one form, continuing to drill until a consciousness began forming (or perhaps I have finally gone mad).

The 300 clay miniliths were completed and then I felt the urge to create a larger figure, a monolith, so I used 5L unused olive oil tins and papier mâché to secure the body.

The plan was to paint the whole figure black and worship it as a God to receive the next steps for its journey, but instead another COVID wave hit Melbourne and I decided to use my energies elsewhere.

Never made in vain, the 300 miniliths and 1 monolith were pivotal in my journey to deepen in relationship with the philosophy of The 3 Faced One and its mission through me.

Below is:
